The Villain roller coaster can be seen in the background.One year later, park owner Cedar Fair announced their decision to permanently close the park. Geauga Lake was one of the oldest amusement parks in the country, first opening in 1888.

kingsponce13: Yeah, those are nice family rides. Of course the big prize was getting Dominator. I love that coaster. I want to make it down there to Kings Dominion eventually, although it won't be this year.

austinjb555: It was called Six Flags Ohio in 2000, and Six Flags Worlds of Adventure from 2001-2003. But it's near Cleveland, not Cincinnati.

No, it's on the east side of Cleveland on the Portage/Geauga county border. It was known as Geauga Lake for a hundred years. |
