Welcome back for another week of this nonsense. This week, we're in Aurora, Ohio to visit Geauga Lake. This was a smaller, regional park until the folks at Six Flags picked it up. They tried to make it competitive with Cedar Point, but it just never quite happened. Ultimately, the park was sold off to the owners of Cedar Point. At that point, the writing was clearly on the wall. Support your local parks, folks.

@bp1191 Absolutely correct. Steel Venom is credited as the first "twisting" impulse. The narration should have specified that, but I believe it was cut down for timing purposes.

I am heartbroken! to see all of these rides go to different places, especially the double loop being sold for scrap. That was my first roller coaster ride and i will never forget Geauga Lake! 3

Who's finding amusement at the park closing? If you think we're poking fun at it, you're missing the point here.

It's nice that you find amusing all the pain that we all have to endure by letting our best theme park go away.Cheers to you assholes!! |
