@jumpbacktome Or at least grew slowly.

@Cinestrio That isn't entirely fair, considering that if SF hadn't invested so much money without return, the park wouldn't have been sold in the first place. CF didn't really have a chance and had a dying park on their hands from the get-go. I think GL would have survived, thrived even, if it had remained the size it was in 1999.

@jumpbacktome Yes but at least SF had attempted bringing the park up, CF didn't do too much. Yeah, Six Flags didn't do it the way they should've, however at least it was an attempt.

@Cinestrio SF spent so much money than the park could absorb in such a short amount of time that it was part of the reason that the company filed for bankruptcy a few years later. CF came into the park and immediately had to deal with waning public opinion and a sky-high, unjustified operating cost. While I think there were other solutions to the problem besides closing the park, the SF era ultimately wrote GL's death sentence.

@voorhees1380 Yeah! Six Flags only added a whole new kids area, took over a wildlife area, updated the old waterpark, introduced the first halloween attractions there, added 5 roller coasters, and rerailed Raging Wolf Bobs! That's all, nothing special at all. While CF is the real hero, they repainted a ride, and renamed rides! How amazing! Wow thats amazing.

@voorhees1380 No, CF did destroy the park. Six flags could not maintain it so they made the best option which was to sell it... Cedar fair let it crumble...

This park was a part of everyone's childhood. My first day ever at this park in 1993 was 1 week after they got the Texas Twister and I can remember the 2 hour wait for it. Everyone in that park would not stop talking about the ride, if they were scared to go on it or how different it was.
