Adrian Whitcombe, 45 and Ian Booth, 36, both from Nottingham, England are setting out on what they are calling the Total Timber Tour. Their actual goal is not to ride every wooden coaster in the U.S., but to instead ride the nine remaining wooden coasters they haven't already ridden.

The Tour starts on Wednesday August 20 and finishes on Tuesday September 9 2008, totaling over 7000 miles, across 23 states and visiting 20 Theme Parks and Attractions.

I know Adrian and Ian will have a blast on this tour. I did something similar in 1997 on the Headbangin' Coaster Tour 97 where I rode 29 coasters in 6 parks over 11 Days.
