By Clifford G. Cumber News-Post Staff FREDERICK — Adventure Park USA owner Larry Stottlemyer said calls by county officials to tear down his roller coaster have upset him.

The comments, Mr. Stottlemyer's first since news broke that the county considered construction of the 44-foot-high amusement ride illegal, were sent in a press release late Tuesday night through an advertising and public relations firm.

County officials have issued stop-work orders against Adventure Park, alleging that the roller coaster, called the "Wild Cat," is being constructed without proper permitting. more…
